BODYFLYING
FAST WAY
Intro

The "Fast way" means that we need to learn to fly at high wind speed in a vertical positions Head Up and Head Down - as soon as possible.

Accordingly before, we also need to learn how to fly in a horizontal Back positions and 45' Back - Head Up positions - at high wind speed!

Also horizontal Belly positions and 45' Belly - Head Up positions - at middle wind speed!

Hope you've read the article about wind speed.

From my own training experience and from my coaching experience - i’ve noticed that when you start interacting with high wind speeds and begin flying in them, then later, when you return to lower speeds, your movements become smoother and what feels hard to fly before - after will be so easy.

The feeling of the wind is changed - what before feels so strong and high - will be comfortable and soft!

I personally learned through the "Fast way" - when i started my Bodyflying journey in August 2012.

Attention! This path could be called the Spartan path - because it is indeed more difficult compared to another, possibly easier, more fun, but longer path, which is called “Step by step” or “All steps.”

So, if you choose the "Fast way" you need to understand - it’s going to be tough, but effective.

Information about my start training path in a windtunnel:

Let's start
1
Horizontal Belly positions

You start with belly flying. Your body position is horizontal.

Once you get the basic sense of balance in this orientation – which won’t take long – you’ll begin learning to move in all directions.

2
Horizontal Back positions

The next step is to lay on your back and start mastering back flying.

Once you've got it, give your body a little time to adapt to this new sensation.

3
45' Belly - Head Up positions

The next step is to lay on your back and start mastering back flying.

Once you've got it, give your body a little time to adapt to this new sensation.

4
45' Back - Head Up positions

The next step is to lay on your back and start mastering back flying.

Once you've got it, give your body a little time to adapt to this new sensation.

5
Vertical Head Up positions

The next step is to lay on your back and start mastering back flying.

Once you've got it, give your body a little time to adapt to this new sensation.

6
Vertical Head Down positions

The next step is to lay on your back and start mastering back flying.

Once you've got it, give your body a little time to adapt to this new sensation.

Back Neutral position
Low wind speed
~ 190 km/h (118 mph)
Body-right direction transit from
Belly Neutral to Back Neutral position
Low wind speed
~ 190 km/h (118 mph)

AND

Body-left direction transit from
Back Neutral to Belly Neutral position
Low wind speed
~ 190 km/h (118 mph)
Next start learning the knees and sit groups positions, using the net for support. Add more wind speed! Your arms will start getting stronger! And soon you’ll be flying in the Sit position on your own!
In this way, you develop a very important skill – confident and personal interaction with strong airflow.
After that, the only thing left is learning to fly on your head. From this point, you can start standing on your head and practicing the head-down vertical position on the net. Then, you'll be able to lift off from the net and rise into the air!
At this stage, you can fly in all four orientations: belly horizontal, back horizontal, head-up vertical, and head-down vertical. From here on out, there won’t be any major obstacles. Success is inevitable!
